With over 16 years of legal experience and a Master of Laws, I bring a broad yet integrated perspective to my work across family, relationship property, local government, and resource management law.  To me, these areas align—they all center on people and the ability to create security, stability, and future-proofed solutions for individuals, families, and corporations alike.  While I have experience representing clients at all levels, including as Junior Counsel in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court, my focus is on developing holistic strategies to achieve your goals efficiently, with minimal litigation and risk.

In this time of significant legislative and policy change, I help clients navigate complex challenges with foresight, flexibility, and resilience. Whether guiding families through relationship property matters, assisting businesses with resource management compliance or planning, or advising local government on policy, planning and compliance matters, my approach is pragmatic, forward-thinking, and solutions-driven.

Beyond legal practice, I serve as an Independent Commissioner Chair, overseeing policy and resource consent decisions, and I am actively involved in shaping legal discourse as a National Committee Member of the Resource Management Law Association, a Committee Member of the New Zealand Law Society Environmental Committee, and Editor of the Resource Management Journal.
